Declaration of consent and granting of rights

The biopharmaceutical company CSL Behring AG, Wankdorfstrasse 10, Bern 3014 Switzerland, on behalf of its global affiliates („CSL Behring“) would like to invite you and enable the registration for the medical, non- commercial educational event – the 4th CSL Behring Academy: Immunology, on 15-17th March 2023, hybrid meeting.
This Declaration sets out how CSL Behring will collect, disclose and process your personal data.

1. Purpose of processing
Registration, production, public screening or any other use of the recordings and concomitant processing of your personal data serve the following purposes:
- Registration to attend the 4th CSL Behring Academy: Immunology, hybrid scientific meeting for health care professionals only
- HCP trainings: Processing shall enable CSL Behring to offer opportunities for education and engaging in professional discussions to expert groups. At the same time, processing serves as non-promotional presentation of CSL Behring and its products in the context of a specific medical condition.
2. Categories of Personal Data collected:
Providing of the personal data listed hereafter is necessary to register for the purposes specified in Paragraph 1:
- Contact details: full name, country, email address, country of practice
- Log-in details: password and confirmed password
- Employment information: specialty, working institution
- Current /and past professional activities (speakers only)
- Audio & video recording/pictures
- Content preferences (Immunology or Hematology)
Personal data may also be inadvertently collected if shared by you during any presentations or discussions you attend during the virtual scientific event.
3. Transfer to third countries
HCPs who were able and those who were unable to attend the scientific event lecture/presentation and would like to use the recordings for educational purposes after the event are located in Russia, Turkey, Switzerland, Colombia, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Panama, Honduras, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Ecuador, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria and within the EU, Middle East and Africa and across Asia Pacific.
CSL Behring may disclose your personal data to its affiliates, service providers and contracting parties.
CSL Behring may provide personal data to countries outside your jurisdiction of residence for the purposes described in this document. It may be the case that the law in these countries may not ensure an adequate data protection level and do not prevent data transfer to third parties. Appropriate safeguards are provided if your data is transferred outside your jurisdiction of residence if required by applicable law. Appropriate safeguards may include standard contractual clauses, transfer to whitelisted countries, unless the transfer is made to otherwise safeguard an overriding public interest.

5. Voluntariness
The consent to and disclosure of and presentation according to the data categories specified in Paragraph 2 are voluntary and not required by law or by contract. If you do not consent this merely means that your presentation/ voice during the discussion is not recorded and not provided to HCPs that were unable to attend the technical lecture/presentation.
6. How Long Does CSL Retain Personal Data:
CSL Behring and/or our service providers retain your data in accordance with applicable data privacy acts and only for as long as necessary to exercise our duties, and only for as long as necessary to fulfil the respective purposes we collect it for. If CSL no longer needs your personal data to fulfil contractual agreements or legal obligations or to fulfil aforementioned purposes, they are deleted from our systems or anonymized accordingly so that identification is no longer possible, unless we need to retain information, including your personal data, in order to comply with legal or regulatory requirements that CSL Behring is subject to.
7. Data Subject Rights:
Under applicable data protection laws, you may have the following data subject right:
(a) Right of access: You may have the right to request confirmation from us if personal data concerning you is processed and, if this is the case, have the right of access. The right of access includes, among others, the purpose of the processing, categories of personal data that are processed, and the recipients or categories of recipients to whom the personal data will be disclosed. This right, however, is not unlimited as the rights of other people may limit your right of access. You may have the right to receive a copy of the personal data processed by us.
(b) Right to rectification: Under certain circumstances you may have the right to have inaccurate personal data concerning you rectified. Taking into account the purpose of processing you have the right to have your incomplete personal data completed, also by means of providing a supplementary statement.
(c) Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”): Under certain circumstances you may have the right to request from us the deletion of personal information relating to you and we may be obliged to delete the respective personal data.
(d) Right to restriction of processing: Under certain circumstances you may have the right to request us to restrict processing of your personal data. In this case, the respective data are marked and we only process it for certain purposes.
(e) Right to data portability: Under certain circumstances you may have the right to receive the personal data concerning you, which you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and have the right to transmit those data to another entity without hindrance from our side.
(f) Right of objection: Under certain circumstances, which arise from your particular situation, you have the right to object to processing of your personal data by us and we may be obliged to stop processing your data.
(g) Right to withdraw: You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time free of charge, e.g. via the email address: privacy@cslbehring.com. The withdrawal does not have any impact on the legitimacy of processing before the withdrawal, which was based on your previous consent.
In addition to the data subject rights above and the right to withdraw your consent at any time., you may also have the right to file a complaint with a data protection authority at any time. If you wish to exercise your data subject rights, please contact us using the contact details provided below.
If personal data is processed for the purpose of direct advertising, you additionally have the right to object to processing of your personal data used for the purpose of such advertising at any time. This also applies to the creation of a profile if it is related to direct advertising. In this case, we no longer use personal data for this purpose.

Legal basis for processing activities: CSL Behring collects and processes the personal data, according to the data categories specified in Paragraph 3 of the Consent Form according to the purposes defined in Paragraph 2 of the Consent Form. Legal basis for these processing activities is your consent.
